The summit of Ama Dablam is a truly enjoying the impressive 360-degree views of many of the world’s highest peaks.
Basecamp to Camp 1: it is the moderate level of adventure, the climb begins on easy sandy trails, but only enters a big scale of the field, you’ll follow through fixed lines and then establish new ropes wherever necessary both for ascent and descent about (200 meters).
Camp 1 to Camp 2: it is challenging to climb up along the narrow granite ridge from camp 1. From camp 1 the climbing becomes steeper, increasingly technical & more exposed. There were fixed ropes in place from Camp1 all the way to the summit & these are replaced at the beginning of each season.
Camp 2 to Camp 3: The climb from Camp 2 to Camp 3 is comprised of mixed rock, snow and ice, which is loose in certain places. After climbing these 50-degree snow couloirs we reach the mushroom ridge where a series of cornices and ice sculptures glued precipitously onto a knife-edge rock ridge. We climb along this exposed snow ridge and reach Camp 3.
Camp 3 to Summits, In addition, some climber directly summits from Camp 2 some are from camp 3. From camp 3 it reduces summit time hours. From Camp 3 to the summit is relatively less technical. The route traverses right, around some crevasses then we get 40 to 50 degree of snow rib it prior to the summit.
