This is an amazing opportunity to trek the beautiful foothills of Nepal while immersing yourself in the stunning culture, which offers enjoyable travel in the world with fascinating head experience. The Khumbu areas are commonly called the Everest region. It is also known as the home of Sherpa people and mysterious Yak.
Truly, Everest base camp trek starts after 35 minutes scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Tenzing-Hilary airstrip at Lukla, which is Gateway of our travel point. Everest base camp trek is not only famous for the trekking and expedition but also for the Sherpa cultural, one can enjoy and learn Sherpa cultural very closely by visiting this region. Each year more than five thousands of trekkers are visiting because of an incredible travel destination. These trek takes you through challenging terrain that includes glacial moraines and a steep climb up Kala Patthar where the adrenalin really goes into overdrive.
8000expedition approach these trek via famous Sherpa village with wonderful Himalaya peaks including Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche and Everest base camp. It has a moderate trip grading. Trekkers no require previous climbing experience, but it requires sometimes physical fitness for altitude. To avoid altitude sickness we will ascend slowly and make sure we don’t overexert ourselves. Therefore the entire journey including the trek typically lasts between 12 and 14 days, during of these days 2-3 days spent for pre-acclimatizing in Namche (3,440m) & Dingboche (4,360m) for the chance to ascend Kala Patthar (5,545m) and witness awe-inspiring views of Mount Everest.
Today we welcome you to Nepal! Hope that you had a smooth flight. We’ll be waiting with a warm greeting and easy transfer to your hotel, then we will briefing on last minutes about the specific trip (Trekking or Peak climbing) with coffee in the hotel.
After having breakfast we will fight in Lukla for about 35 minutes from Kathmandu. During flying offers stunning views of the vast Himalayan mountain range. In Lukla, you will have a relaxed an hours before the first stage of the trek, where we will meet rest of our staff for the trek and carry a bag pack by the porter. The trek to Phakding for around 3-4 hours including lunch hour on the way before arriving Phakding.
Today, we cross the river on high suspension bridges with the forest full of Rhododendron and Pine trees, marvellous small and big waterfalls which are the famous attraction on this trek. The entrance to the Sagarmatha national park is just on the outskirts of Monjo. From Monjo, we begin to make gradual ascend till we get to an overhang suspension bridge and Namche. Beautiful peaks of Thamserku, Kangtega, Kusum Kanguru peaks can be seen.
On the 4th days will do a very short ascend trek from Namche to Khumjung village only about 2 hrs. Due to the short trip, most of the travellers explore this day is like acclimatization. It is important to take the day off to allow our bodies to adjust to the rarefied atmosphere before ascending to higher altitudes. Which provides the opportunity to explore the delights of this vibrant, prosperous village.
Before arriving in Khumjung village we will hike to Everest view hotel for the panoramic and spectacular view of mountains including Mt. Everest, Ama-Dablam, Kusum khangkaru, Choltse, Thamserku many more with having fresh and organic coffee enjoy.
After morning breakfast we will start trek from Namche Bazaar to Debuche (3870m) towards breathtaking views of the Himalayas – Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kwangde. The trail is relatively flat until you reach Kyanjuma. From Kyanjuma onward we will descend down to the river Fungi tanga and climb a relatively steep hill 2 hours until we reach the village of Tengboche then we will descend again 15 minutes to our camp.
Starting from Debuche is not that steep and we get to see beautiful views. Especially a very close up view of Ama Dablam. The trail goes down at first and then gradually climbs up until Dingboche. It is important to keep hydrated and relax for the rest of the day.
Today is spent as another acclimatization day here. You can hike up to 4,890m for a fantastic view of Makalu, Amadablam, Labuche, Tabuche, Cholatse and Island peak
It is a short sharp climb up and out of the valley before steady 2 hours trek to the small hamlet of Thukla. Where we will stop for lunch, after lunch we continue the walk up the steep hill to the Sherpa memorials, there are outstanding views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Labuche, and Tabuche. The trail drops slightly and follows the western side of the valley to Lobuche.
Today, we start again our trek to Gorakshep which takes about 2-3hour to reach via following the rocky moraine path and watching ice glacier pond and icebergs below.
After spending a lunchtime, we will keep a bag in the room then we will start our journey up to Everest base camp (5364m). Almost 4 hours up-down trail flow on the glacier and snow-capped rocks. We are very lucky to made world famous trek in Everest base camp, now your destination creates change yourself in experience, Along the Khumbu Glacier and up to the Everest Base Camp (5364m). Enjoy the views of the Khumbu Icefall. After spending some time here we hike back to Gorakshep.
Today our guide led up early morning for predawn rise to summit the highest point on Kalapthar. It is a 2 hour get in the Kalapathar top min but it gives excellent views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Ama Dablam and Khumbu Glacier. Taking some minute’s times we will return back Gorak shep about 1 hours.
Spending some an hour we will retrace to Pheriche for 3-4 hours descend via the rocky path.
On this day we will follow another delightful route until Phortse, which departs from Pangboche. Phortse is a village associated with the Gokyo valley.
Today we descend down to Phortse Khola and then climb gradually to Mong Danda. From Mong Danda, we descend down to Kyangjum and continue goes to Namche.
Finally, we make the 6-7 hour return to Lukla (2,804m), where the trip begins. We cross several suspension bridges & pass by several monasteries and villages before reaching Lukla. In Lukla will be our last day trek meanwhile we will enjoy the last day party with our staff.
On the 15 days, we will fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. The scenic morning flight back to Kathmandu gives us one last chance to say farewell to the mountains. After arriving at Kathmandu Airport we will be transferring our hotel for just relaxing. Evening time we will host farewell dinner in typical Nepali Restaurant.
Today is Trip Ends – we will Drop off at the airport for final departure to selected destination, before 2 hours ago. We ensure that you leave Kathmandu with lifetime memory with us and see up next trip.
