Himlung Mountain (7,129m) is newly opened for expedition in Nepal. It is situated northeast of the giant Annapurna range close to the Tibetan border, on the watershed of Nepal & Tibet. The mountain was approved to climb in 1992 and it was first climbed by Japanese team the same year.

Himlung mountain setting is magnificent, which is still not visited very often, even though climbing route of this 7,000m high mountain is technically neither specific difficulty nor objective danger but It does require a good level of fitness also it is a very cold mountain. One can fully focus on the altitude, the rhythm and the view. This mountain would be a right step to climb any 8,000m peaks in future because of well pre-training and proper high altitude acclimatization. The teams must set up 3 high camp places, but technically straightforward West Ridge and had to traverse a subsidiary peak before being in position for a summit attempt. All activities assist by 8000expedition strong Sherpa teams from the first step to the summit and back. Our guides are highly skilled professionals with an enthusiasm for climbing.

The journey starts from Beshishahar (1100m) about 6-7 hours’ drive from Kathmandu city. From here you’ll drive one day up to Kodo, then continue trek goes through high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow gullies, forests and Gumps up to base camp at (4920m).

Today we welcome you to Nepal! Hope that you had a smooth flight. We’ll be waiting with a warm greeting and easy transfer to your hotel.
